Prep starter the day/night before if required.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams sourdough starter, discard

  • 20 grams butter, melted and cooled

  • 1/4 teaspoon fine salt

  • Fresh thyme, 3-4 sprigs

  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 155 C.
  • Mix together sourdough starter, butter, fine salt and thyme until well mixed.
  • Spread the mixture thinly on top of parchment paper on a baking sheet, then sprinkle sea salt on top.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, then pull out of the oven and score into crackers.
  • Bake for another 30-40 minutes until golden brown and crunchy.

Notes

  • Can substitute up to 40 grams whole wheat flour.
